Just looked at the weather as of 9:00 PM this evening and the weather looks great. Partly sunny all day and weather in the low 60's.

I still have to finish the rear, today. Pumkin is done, but I had to drive 280 miles round trip to get a set of green bearings, yesterday. Can't run a spool with the stock axle bearings. Also had to change the clutch master and slave cylinders (both leaking) on the Toyota truck, yesterday. Wonder what else will happen. I need to get on the road early Thur morning ( 20 hr drive) , and the truck isn't loaded, either. Wonder what I will forget. I must be nuts. Rick  I'll post if, and when I leave. |

My car is running. Had a great time at Bristol. Just not in the cards this weekend. I hope to make most of the races next year. |

Finally. The car is done, and loaded. Toyota is loaded. I'll be loaded, in about 1/2 hour, after a shower. See you on Saturday. |

A quick breakdown of the first round: Brian Mimken (W) vs. Charlie Schmid Whitney Covalt vs. Micah Covalt (W) Rick Covalt vs. Rodney Hargis (W) Ryan Covalt (W) vs. Will Burns Ron Hamby (W) vs. Denny Covalt Phil Stoneback (W) vs. Kevin Bradford Dan Gravatt BYE RUN Denny Spun as he left helping ensure that Ron moved on to the next round. Rick red light, but was in good spirits about it, even giving a big thumbs up as he went down the track. Charlie cut a decent light but wasn't able to run the numbers and Brian was able to hold him off. Whitney gave Micah a good run, but ended up braking out by .05. Will broke (possibly second gear) and didn't get to make it to the first round giving Ryan an essential bye run. Phil cut a 194 light to kevin's 475 and that was the deciding factor in their race.
