Too bad you can't adjust it.....

I would get another gauge. I have a nice one mounted under the dash by the tach and drive by them religiously. Some days you may be tempted and get a little heavy footed and not realize it!

I bought this from Ebay, the picture shows an adjustment screw on the front to zero the gauge, but mine doesn't have it...made in China, no doubt a copy of the one in the picture.

I have the same eBay vacuum gauge(actually from the same vendor) and it works fine. Made in Mexico...along with the rest of my car!

Hmmm, I wonder if I can zero the needle somehow...I could return it, but the shipping would likely cost what I paid for it....

No harm in trying then!

Holy crap.
just looked at my gauge and it is exactly the same as yours with exactly the same problem!!
mine says made in USA.
What you guys smoking over there?!
Might try drilling the rivets off the face, spinning the dial till zero under needle ,then drill holes in face for 2 small screws.
how the hell do these things get out of the factory like that!
I cant believe I used mine like this!
The good news is our motors are ok if you correct the dodgy gauge readings
Bye.
Brendan.

PS Nice engine bay Dart 270

I have a cheap vacuum gage, and dropped it causing to become out of calibration by a few inches of Hg.

The face of my gage pops off sort of like the back of a watch pops off. Once guts of gage are exposed one will find geared rack. Just skip gear controlling needle along rack until gage is pointing to zero, and snap it back together.

You may be able to just hold the shaft the needle is on with a small pair of needle nose pliers and move the needle slightly.
