My brother bought one of these for his Bronco II. CLAIMS it has improved his gas milage. I challanged him to drive 200 miles with and without and compare them milage. He declined. Even IF it works, the return on investment based upon gas milage is going to be about 20 year LOL! I must admit though, it does look nice with the tin foil hat he wears while he's driving.

I figure I throw my 2 cents in.

The moving into the engine is flowing, all this does it makes it air entering in a orderly manner by getting the air to spin. I also believe this could increase milage, but only very slightly at best.

With that said I wouldnt buy one. I dont believe it worth the money they want for it. Face it, it cheap Metal, it can cost very much to make.

I guess the true way to find out is to see if auto makers adapt it in after there patent wears off. I think if it is only a slight gain, they would still use it once it legal, due to low production costs... etc...

:( i know a few guys that tried those tornado deals and they collectively agree it needs a name change to vortex, for the money sucked out of their wallet.

regardless of engine displacement, modifications and the like, a fresh air inlet is the number the best route, use a K&N filter. the filter might cost $50.00, but, i have one on everything i own and it really works!

fresh air should be taken in as straight a line possible to the carb or throttle body as possible. use aluminum tubing if possible.

i do a lot of fabrication so if your uncertain or need help, feel free to contact me.

If it would be placed after the carb it might work, the vortex creates more pressure in the intake runner, making something like free supercharging, like the old crossrams did[but did not spin the air] the vortex may help the incoming charge find its way to the intake runner that is creating suction at that time.letting an engene rev quicker, thats the only theiory I can think of.I have not tried one,but I would if they gave it to me,,,speedfreak.
