I brought the head to the Napa Machine shop and he found a severe crack. So, I ordered a refurbished one from ATK/Spartan/Autozone. $399 + core.

Then, I dropped off the block for a cleaning. They found a long crack near some water jackets. So, I bought a 1986 318 for $180 and am in the process of getting that one ready to go.

The nearest slant 6 I found for sale over the last 30 days was in Houston Texas which would be 6-7 hours away. Thanks for all the help and I will keep my eyes peeled for another slant 6 equipped car.
