In the pic above the adjustable rod is screwed all the way in!!

It only gets longer from there.. :(

I haven't had the time to fiddle with the Dart... and may not before I leave at the rate I'm going...

The other day I took the battery out to put in the Duster... Then I had to take it from there for the Comanche truck because someone stole the new battery! :x

Just doin' the two-step (one step forward and two steps back  )

Then it looks like there is room to run the male threads down further (if not there already) and trim that end down until it will shorten enough to be helpful.

Ah! Got'cha. Possibly easier than cutting, threading and getting a joint for the stock rod. Thanks.

I got the new master cylinder put in the other day, but didn't have a helper to bleed the brakes...

I pulled a rear bleeder to take it for comparison on a set of speed bleeders...

I put a plastic cap in the hole overnight...

The cap didn't stay in...

The system gravity bled all over the floor. :x

Did you know that brake fluid eats concrete!?

I decided not to mess with the push rod length. At the rate I'm going I'll wind up just leaving it on jack stands and moving to Germany...

(I did put the bleeder back in the caliper at least  )

I actually drove the Dart to work this morning!!

I installed the speed bleeders and guess who helped me bleed the brakes...?

You'll never guess!

Angie!! :D

I didn't mess with shortening the brake push rod. I will just drive it a handful of times for fun before I have to get it ready for storage.

I watched her like a hawk the whole time!

She actually said it was "fun"!

Don't be surprised if we come back in 3+ years and she is the one driving at Slant 6 races...
