Didn't Ferrea make a drop in? Just went for a quick peak at their catalog and couldn't find anything.
The second head Mike did for me had Ferrea valves. Pretty sure they were a drop in as far as guide size goes. IIRC, they were 1.71" and 1.5", but I could be mistooken. :?

A 1.71 search on Ferrea's site yields Olds and Ford applications with 11/32 stem. Didn't check overall length.

Once the engnbldr valves are no longer available I expect most people will go back to Ford 300 valves and just cut down the heads to the desired diameter. Most heads already need guides so the 11/32" stems don't cost any extra at the machine shop aside from the proper locks and retainers. Many times those parts are being upgraded anyhow so the total cost increase is only in turning down the exhaust valve head and maybe the intake valve head. This is what I did in 1998 for my first big valve head.

My Big Valves are Chev 1.72/1.50 I used the Chev springs and retainers as well.....and they gave the bowl a Chevvy style bowl hog,,,,

In this part of the world its easier to just ask for a chev head job than it is to have some fancy plan.

........and they are way cheap.
