Fire ring overlapping the chamber? If not, why don't you think there was detonation? I don't see why you would lift the head bolts or burn the gasket w/o detonation... Lou |

I'll try and post a picture of the gasket. It looks like the ring got pushed out and once opened it burned a channel. Everything else looked clean. The guys that gave me a hand know a lot more than me and went over the head, gasket, combustion chamber and block and felt there was no detonation. But I also rely heavily and your opinion and this forum and will post photo's. B |
