Dennis, we have been using the honor system for records, most of us do check our weights. I usually stop at a truck scale on the way to a meet where I might try for a record, if I'm not sure the track has operating scales. Lou has brought his scales, before, but I don't think anyone has said it would be mandatory. Most of the racers just did it for their own information.

IIRC there was a scale at the tech booth at CC. I have no idea if it works.

I agree that we do not need weight check necessarily, as long as the person has weighed the car on their own and not just estimated.

I plan to run at Clay City,, looking forward to it

will arrive Friday PM,, Charlie I can bring the head / valve cover.

Called MP Dragway this afternoon. Guess their phone has been temporarily disconnected. No other # given. So I e-mailed Shane and asked for the 1/4 mile race and 1/8 mile make up for Sat. w/ the regular 1/4 mile on Sun.

Will keep ya posted.

Shane got back with me and said he was fairly certain we could have the 1/8 mile make up (w/our reg 1/4 mile race) on Sat. Sun. would be reg 1/4 mile.

I had really hoped to get to another "away" race this year but I will not make it to Clay City either. I will have to settle for 3 more races at the final event of the year at Mason Dixon.

Looks like me, Whitney, and the baby will be making the trip to clay city this year. I will be bringing the 2wd 85' ram to the track this time. Sadly, I haven't had the time to get the race car or the dart back together so all I have is the truck this year. (sorry dennis I wish I had a covalt rent a racer for you) We are looking forward to the races and hoping Adelynn gets to see her first slant 6 race. We will be there saturday for sure and possibly Sunday too. Hope to see you all soon.
