He's asking about a track bar on a leaf spring car. NASCAR was used as an example. NASCAR does not use leaf springs and have not for many years.

I would think if your springs and bushings are stiff enough, you shouldn't be getting a lot of side to side travel. I'm running FirmFeel road race springs with rubber bushings up front and poly bushings in the back (didn't really know what I was doing at the time). Everything is about 18 months old at this point. Probably have about 3/4 inch of clearance between the tire and the inside of the rear quarter panel on each side, and we road race the car with no rubs.

So yeah, I would second Josh Skinner. If your bushings are old, try replacing them first. Poly would be stiffer and help more if you don't mind the squeak.

Poly makes a huge difference. Leaf bushings are one of the few places I use poly in my suspension setups. Do that before going to a Panhard/track bar.

Looking at your tire dimensions I have to ask if it has occured to you that your flexing is actually in the tire sidewall instead?

100% known..... Track bars don't care about the spring type. The NASCAR point has to do with the overall positive lateral locating method, and the roll centers that result.

Better bushings will take some eyelet play out of the leaf spring mounts, and keep the eyes from twisting as much. By itself, it can't fully eliminate spring twist. But for just solving a tire rub issue, that makes the most sense over a different suspension fab.

Energy suspension makes rear leaf spring bushing kits. Make sure to measure your front spring eye and order the right kit (1.5" ID or 2" ID).
