A couple years ago I ordered two regulators for a 73 Dart- one Standard, one Echlin, both were identical pieces of crap. Right down to the "Made in Chian" ink stamping & way high voltage setpoint of 14.8+ V (one wandered up to 15.5V after a bit).

Dug out a crusty original unit from way down in my parts stash- cleaned of the rust from the mounting ears & it worked perfectly- rock steady 14.0 volts.
