If the cam is new, its the bearing. Gently use some emory cloth to remove excess slowly. That's what my machinist did check it often to see that the cam slides in gently, and check it often as you go along. I have had no trouble and my cam was bored for one size over stock. From what I was told this is not out of the ordinary. |

On my last build my cam was tight as well. Turned out to be the cam was .003 from being straight. My machinist was able to straighten it and then it turned free. I have had other builds that required honing the bearings. I used to think all you had to do was install the bearings throw the cam in and go but it sure isn't that simple anymore. I think it maybe possible that the pressure we put these race blocks under it maybe twisting the block a little. Ron |

x2 as above. The machinist had to use a scaper to free up the rear cam bearing a bit in our recent /6 rebuild. |
