aluminum cookware must have been the ticket back in the day,
my mom had a set of 'Guardian Service' heavy cast aluminum pots, skillets, roaster, ,,,, when she passed all the kids got a piece or two,,

not sure how these pieces were treated, they are a natural color semi bright aluminum,,saw a lot of use,, no smudging or aluminum tarnish ever.
