Well aware of all that. I used real thermal grease. That 8 amp draw stuff - at real high rpm on a v8, not idling on a 6 when I was observing the too hot to touch symptom. Current will be proportional to rpm. In fact I recall measuring amp draw at less than 1a in gear idling. Does your heatsink get too hot to touch after a drive, perhaps on a hot day? |

Nice. If yours is happy like that mine should be fine. Without comparing the numbers on it, that appears to be the same exact module as my napa tp45, including the odd metal tab that comes out one of the diagonal sides. |

Greg, I'm not sure why you're worrying about HEI heat sinks. You've got much bigger problems underhood. Your engine has two cylinders too many, and half the cylinders are on the wrong side! |
