Several people have taken air from the cowl vent using homemade boxes. Seymour's streetcar and racecar have this feature. I agree that is a good solution as well. Personally, I use my floor vents in my streetcars all the time, so I do not want them crossed over to the intake tract (noise, fuel). Lou |

I'm with you on that, Lou. Also, the leakiness of the summer vents even when they're closed is a bit concerning as far as noise/fumes goes. I could always permanently block it of, but then this seems like a lot more work than making a simple hole in the core support. |

Another point against it would be having it annoy others in the car. Mine doesn't "pass gas" However, even though it evacuates quickly upon opening and/or operating, it's noticeable for some seconds initially. This'd make it unacceptable for many. I once had a bud ask about the possibility of it reaching ignition point capability. I had to chuckle at the thought of that level of saturation. Technically conceivable, I suppose. Likely in this existence? Maybe on Mythbusters at frustration level ......with an aftermarket aluminum head. |

What Sandy said about Aspens is what I did on my Volare, I enlarged the hole on the passenger side core support for a little fresh air induction. |
