Fuel, air, spark.... Bought my own set of feeler gauges today as I will always need them and planning to borrow a compression gauge. Warm motor, all plugs out, and throttle open is what I've read to do when testing for compression. I'll give an update once I've tested both. |

While you're at it pick up a remote starter switch that can be operated while under hood; it connects to starter relay. When I perform compression tests I connect battery charger to battery.

And remember to remove air filter and have the carb butterfly wide open while testing compression. (Or remove carb). |
