Round 1

Drag Car vs Drag Car, Rodney vs Rusty:
Rodney beat Rusty at the tree .0147 to Rusty's .0713 light and beat him to the finish line by .1595 BUT broke out by .0071, sending Rusty on to round two and us back to the trailer.

Austin Goodman vs ??? Kelley(Convertible):
Another tight race, margin of victory was .0381 with Austin getting to the line first and Kelly breaking out by .0434. Austin heads to round 2 to face Rusty.

Bill Barksdale aka Santa vs ??? Kelley:
Bill got Kelley on the tree .1169 to his .5726 reaction time, but Kelley got to the finish line first by .0743 BUT he broke out by .3122 sending Bill into round 2 with a bye run

Round 2
Rusty vs Austin:

Rusty just about didn't make it to the line to race. When he pulled into the staging lanes he apparently shut down his fuel wrong and couldn't get the green machine to crank. Mark was on his way over to call him out of the race, due to it dragging on the starter, when Rusty finally got it to crank.

Now its time to race, Rusty(.0883) cut a better light than Austin(.1920), but Austin beat him to the finish by .1869. BOTH Drivers broke out, but Austin(.3169) broke out worse than Rusty(.0263) Sending Rusty to the finals.

Bill had the by run and cruised down the strip waving to the crowd.

Round 3/ Finals

Prior to the run Bill keep at Rusty saying "Red Light, Break Out, Red Light, Break Out" and everyone was razzing Bill about if he won we got to cut his hair.

Rusty ran .2195 off his dial, Bill ran .1931 off his dial, Rusty beat Bill to the finish line by 1.0237... However Bill must have got in Rusty's head as Rusty Red Lite by .4630.

Hats off for the fantastic race reporting, Alanna. You took the pressure off so we could enjoy the event. What a pleasant surprise to see vistors from the eastern division.

Thanks for the kind words for setting the B/G records. It is amazing how different the Lancer acts with gasoline.

We had great weather and a good field of cars for Mo-Kan. The MoPars Invade Mo-Kan event just keeps getting bigger.

We hope that all the racers new and old had a good time.

How fast did it go on gas Mark?

And congrats to everyone.

Offical slant 6 race days it went:

1/4 mile 11.12 @ 117.28

1/8 mile 6.99 @ 94.58

I think it might have been a little quicker with a pill change. We may try gasoline again after the piston and camshaft change.

Void the 1/8 mile. They weren't as record crushing as the Lancer is capable of anyway.

Okay,... But what about the 1/4 mile record?

I gotta keep these points up to date ya know!

The 1/8 mile time looks like a record... :?

Did you not have a back up run within the right % or something?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Nevermind. I just read the posts in the Records post in the Racing Q&A section.

I added 20 points for Rusty setting the 1/4 mile record. That bumps him up to 2nd place.
