For all around performance, it's always good to build from the bottom up too: tire and wheel sizes and types, then susp+brakes, then powertrain. Of course, all that stuff should be designed around the power levels and handling/braking forces desired. Note I don't always practice these guidelines, but if building a car from scratch now, that is what I hope to do. Lou |
