Races both days were some of the closest finishes we have had in a while. Not much fender racing this weekend. Most were flat out across the finish line. without knowing who won till the win light came on.

Congrats to Greg and Rusty on the wins both well deserved.
It was a great race weekend as usual. Thanks to Gary for the trophies. Thanks to everyone for coming. The weather was HOT but we survived.

Alana unveiled the 2016 Slant 6 Racing Hall of Fame Inaugural Inductee trophies. The recipients are Meril Bruner, Seymour Pederson, Doug Dutra, and Bob Stepp. Meril was the only one in attendance. He was presented with his and the others will be sent out. These gentlemen were instrumental in the start up and development of Slant 6 racing as we know it today. Congratulations to each to them.

Lots of Driving - 1100 Miles Round Trip for me.

Hall of Fame Was a Nice surprise.

Congrats Team Green and Rusty on 2 Final Round appearances and win.

Hope to get back at it at once more before the season ends.

I am honored to be a member along with Doug, Bob and Meril. It is hard for me to participate as much as I used to but I keep track of what is going on this site and appear when I can. Thanks to whoever thought this up.

Yes, congratulations to all the Hall of Fame members!

Seymour, I meant to tell you about this in June, and am very sorry I forgot. I cannot remember who had the original idea, but I think it actually came from several people.

We will develop a "charter" for this and pick 3-4 people every year to add to the Hall of Fame. Probably more like 4/yr for the next few years.

We will be soliciting ideas on the site and at races for next year's HoF inductees.

That's what I get for counting in a hurry. Sorry about that. I missed points for Ron on Friday and Lukus on Saturday...

Let's try this again. Let me know if THIS looks right.

Friday:

Greg - 35
Rusty - 25

Saturday:

I will adjust the Championship points according to the Over 5 rule after everything is calculated.

For Ron Hamby it will look like this:
90 + 50 = 140

Then implementing the Over 5 rule will take away 10 points since he has now won rounds at a total of 6 races.
140 - 10 = 130

Yes, and thanks for all of you who were trailblazers, engineers, builders, financers and those who raced these antiques that we have all come to love. I watched from afar for a lot of years, but waited at the mailbox for the latest SSRN, or Slant 6 news. Now, I am able race with many of you who I only read about! Quite the honor to line up beside Meril last month at Britsol! Yes he beat me again!!

Thanks to all of you for hard work and dedication to the Slant 6 world!
