You may want to do a little research and check into a B body 8 3/4" rear if you want an 8 3/4. They are usually quite a bit less than an A-body one and with the right offset wheels should work fine.Plus you get bigger brakes and 4.5" bolt pattern

I also have a friend who installed a 8.8 out of a Mustang in an A-body, with the right offset wheels. He didn't have to cut any axles or anything.Just moved the spring perches. Plus if it is out of a GT it should already have the posi in it.

Just some more options.
