Quote: Does anyone have more info on the race?. How many cars, who ran who, etc? Pictures, maybe?
Here is some info. on the Slant Six points race at Hamilton. The weather was clear with temps in the mid to high eighties. Air pressure was good so cars were running fast.16 SL6 cars made time trials and qualified, 13 cars made the call for the first round with the Cox car and Will Burns both out with tranny problems. Dale Rose won the bracket with Rodney Hargis runner-up. Norm Foster did something to get his combo “on track” seeing he was running some high 12’s and made it into the quarter finals, good work Norm, what did you change?? The Cox Team continued the tradition of setting-up camp at the end of the track, near the river and camping there all weekend. Word is that they had a nice bon-fire and great after hours fun on Saturday night. Any stories to tell from that session?? The Fast Four was Charles M., Dale R., Rodney H. and Ron H. Was the Fast Four run on Saturday? I think Charles was the winner seeing he was the Fast Guy at the event. That’s all I know, I should get some photos and the data from Seymour next week. DD |

Charles has a lot of know how because he has good people helping him. One in Lester he knows how to get the car down the track. Charles is good as it gets i know i have to race him. The car has a hellva lot of engine and just a touch of nitiros on board bad combo. Charles told me at Hamilton the car had more tune up in so look out Clay City. Latter Dude Possum Parker ![]() ![]() no bagel is done unless it has been burned. its goinig in there July 5 |

Sounds like whatever is under that hood is top secret hush hush kind of material. Almost don't blame the guy, wouldn't want to make the guys with big blocks jealous. |

I agree with Will, all you have to do is ask. Will May-be I can get Charlie to log-on and give us some info. He has a well built "big inch" Slant, a dailed-in NOS system and a light car. (and years of experience working on the combination) DD |
