I'm tempted to say that looks like a Mallory dual-point distributor, but while some details do look Mallory-like, others don't. I'm not aware of a version of their dual-point distributor with vacuum advance, but maybe there was one. Then there were the Dyna-Flyte centre-pivot dual-point conversions (they made one for the \6) but those used the standard Chrysler vacuum advance, and this what's in the photo isn't one of those. So yeah, I'm curious to see/learn more!
Yeah Dan. I thought it might be a Mallory as I had one in my 66 Nova SS. It was the color of the cap that had me thinking that it might be. Its going to be a bit before I get to pulling it off the motor. Plans are to polish it up and look for any numbers etc. Not going to use it. Had dual points once. Don't see the point in this day. Pertronix and OE stock electronic are two much better choices in my opinion.

The picture of showing the distributor cap has me thinking Mallory and they did catalog a vacuum advance dual-point distributor for the slant.
Just made mention to Dan about that very fact. I had a Mallory Dual Point WAY back in the day and that cap color sure looks like Mallory. The dizzy is in excellent working order from what I can see. The rotor, cap, and points are in excellent shape. Not sure about the advance, could be dried out, or not? When I pull it off the motor and clean it up I will post pictures. Never going to use it but I think I will clean it up and polish the outer housing. I was joking about this being an ultra rare dual point distributor but I am not that far off as it would be pretty hard to find another one! Mostly because who would even use one now??

I have one of these old Mallory dual points, but mine does not have the vac pod. It has the same dual points like the one you have pictured. The points also have the Mallory logo stamped on them.
Ran this distributor on a engine that was on a stand to set the dwell, fun time never do it again.
Appears to be a well made unit.
