Dear Slant Sixers, Christine and I have been scheming about the banquet and have a schedule in the works for meals, fun, and banquet. If you do not have lodging yet, please let me know (PM or phone - 540-818-8712) and I can help with that. We have some space left at the house (FREE) or we are very happy to help with booking nearby. We will have a dinner Friday eve for those who come that evening - around 7 PM. Please let us know about that, if you can, so we can make estimated reservations. Dear Slant 6ers, This is another attention-getting notice that we will be having the Eastern Racers banquet at my house next weekend. Location: 860 Hutcheson Dr Blacksburg, VA 24060 Here is the schedule of events: Friday March 2 1) Afternoon -- Open house, folks arriving -- Starting around 1 PM. 2) Dinner at Lefty's Main Street Grill at 7 PM. (see link below) Saturday March 3 -- Open house and breakfast+coffee -- 9 AM - noon. 1) Lunch out in Blacksburg -- Noon 2) Free time (including possible activities around town, or chill at house) -- 1:30 - 3:30 PM 3) Awards program and business meeting -- 3:30 - 5 PM (at the house) 4) Banquet feast and socializing -- 5:30 PM til whenever (at house) Sunday March 4 Breakfast out in Blacksburg -- Around 9 AM or to be decided... Great times had by all. 23 total attendees for the weekend. Thanks to everyone for coming and making this such a special event. Christine and I had a blast hosting everyone. Greg and I ran the awards and business meeting, with plenty of commentary from Seymour as well. Plenty of nice food consumed, Slant car/engine/racing talk, comedy, and even some musical performances by Seymour, Lou, and Kay! More reports to come, from me and others...
