I think ill most likely attempt to fit cd player in the dash since the original radio has already been replaced with a newer cassette player. Just wondering how I can support unit itself when installed. I Was thinkin of adding a bracket of some sort? Or maybe it won't need it lol anyone know? |

Definitely you will need to support the back end. Maybe a crutch leg from the player's ground stud down to the bottom back edge of the dash structure. I think the player needs to be fairly level also. |

Nothing to buy, as you are doing a custom modification, so you are on your own. Cut a piece of scrap metal (tin can will do) and bend it into an L-angle for stiffness. Drill or punch a hole in each end for your attach bolt/screw. That's why they call it "D.I.Y". |

Something I have done many times to fab a rear support, is to use plain old plumber's tape. It's plenty stiff and strong to hold the weight, bends into whatever shape you need, and holes galore for securing it on both ends. |
