First round: Bill Barksdale v Mark Goodman = Mark Laney Heisten v Rob Simmons = Rob Jeff Strahl (Bye) Rusty Heisten v Joel Harris = Joel Cassidy Soard v Denny Baierl = Denny Bill driving his 69 Dart tried to get into Mark’s head driving his ‘66 Dart wagon 4 speed, but Mark got him. Bill tried to goad Mark in the staging lanes. Laney and Rob fender raced the whole 1/4 mile and Rob just got lucky at the stripe. Rusty had clutch issues with the Lenco. They had planned to pull it after this race hoping it had one more in it. Denny ran an 11.09 against Cassidy in her ‘71 Valiant with a mere .085 margin of victory. That 11.09 should back up the 10.91 for a new D/U record. Round 2 will have Mark against Rob, Jeff against Joel and Denny with the Bye. |

Round 2: Rob got Mark on a double breakout. Joel beat Jeff Denny had the Bye. Round 3: Rob got the Bye Joel’s brakes didn’t hold and he rolled through to give Denny the win. Finals will be two Dusters! One really nice fast one and one still holding together. More to follow.

Denny was very kind and gave me the win with a redlight. More later. I’ve got a long drive ahead. What a blast!! Mo-Kan ROCKS!!

Thanks to everyone that made the race a great one. The track was fantastic to work with. This could be the largest car count in the 8 years of the Mo-Kan race. Rob wins, which I guess is okay. Can't say enough good about Nitti's Duster. That is a great car, 11.03 to 10.91 all day long. Good to see Joel racing with us again. Mark |
