Haven't taken any further photos of the car, but I've made a lot of progress with it. It now has the wheels and new tires off my 58 Plaza, (205/70R14) which helps it stick to the road a lot better, and brought my speedometer into the range of "good enough". It used to be almost 8 over, now it reads 2 under. Fuel and temp gauge are in-op, which I suspect is the voltage limiter. Will be upgrading that sooner than later to restore functionality. I'm shooting to make this look like a vintage road race car, which shouldn't be hard. "Fixed" some of the front sheet metal so I could aim the headlights more correctly. It's still crap, so I do need to replace the front clip. Fixed the horn ring practically falling of the steering wheel, re-aligned the driver door, and cleaned up the rear lenses. I slapped a Super Six with Holley 2300 on it, fabbed up throttle linkage to use the factory floor mounted pedal and kickdown for the PB904. That's working well, the noodle pipe, not so much, so that's just about next on the list to remedy. Picked up 2" lowering blocks for the rear, and will be setting the front torsion bars so the upper A arm is level with the ground. This should lower the center of gravity quite a bit. Hopefully the tires don't drag on the inner fenderwells in the rear. More photos to come soon, I've been daily driving it; and it's been doing very well. Things I need: 63-66 Valiant or Dart fenders, front fascia and hood. Rear lens assemblies for 63 Valiant 68-up flywheel Clutch pedal and associated linkage (z-bar, and rods) 65-66 A904 driveline (non-trunnion) Hey Reed, D.I. says this Holley came from you. What issues were you having with it? ~THOR~ |

An exact twin to my first A-body. Since I bought mine with low mileage, in the Seattle area, who knows! Trouble-free, sipped gas, and it blew the doors off many Falcons and Corvairs. Loved it! |

I need to go through my cams again. Got a few things going on with the Fire Department this weekend, but mornings are pretty open. Swing down here and we'll go exploring the spares. I have a box of OCG reground lifters somewhere in the shop too. I have several cores, if you decide to have OCG cut you something specific. CJ |

May need to jaunt down there this weekend then. If I have OCG do a cam for me, it'll be the 2106R for the N/A engine. Cam I have for the turbo is comp 252, with the oil pump drive actually machined properly; unless you've got a better turbo cam. Hell, maybe I'll build the N/A engine up nice and shove it in the 58! That'd blow some minds lol I need to come down there and get my short block out of your way anyhow! ~THOR~ |

Sweet! Right now I can't get in to change gears on the lathe. Your long block is in the way. I've got your Dutra prepped oil pump somewhere too. Still in the box. Now, where's the box? ![]() CJ |

I wasn't gonna let you take it, without giving you a head. The head will be a core, as I don't know what you want to spruce it up with. I think I still have three in the machine shop, ready to get some attention. Your welcome to any of them. Do you want drool or peanut? ![]() CJ |

Oooo... tough choice. I'm thinking drool tube, latest and greatest core ya got. That way when I invariably explode a cam (I'm pretty good at it), I can just pull the lifters out without removing the head! ![]() ~THOR~ |

Pulled the noodle pipe and associated tiny exhaust off and replaced it with a temporary "test pipe". Once I have some extra cash I'm going to have a quick and dirty exhaust installed on it. Still looking for a front clip! At this point I almost don't care what clip that is, so long as it bolts on and isn't as beat as mine is. ![]() ~THOR~ |

OCG grind 34 cam installed... was the ol Hooptie cam from Ceej's race car. Electric fuel pump died while doing break in, so I'll have to get another in the AM and fire it to finish break in. Then I'll take a video. It should potato nicely. ![]() ~THOR~ |
