Lots of foriegn cars use 100mm x 5 bolt patern. 4" would be 101.6mm, slightly bigger, but the slack is easily taken up by the lugnuts. When you tighten them down the wheel will be centerd anyway. It's not like stock wheels fit perfectly over the studs anyway they also have some play, so adding 0.8mm play to each hole isn't a big deal.

I run 17 inch Fikse rims. I needed the 17 inch rims in order to clear the 13 inch Viper disc brakes.

Whoops, guess I forgot to log in before posting! The '65 Coronet is mine. It doesn't have a /6 in it but I figured people might be interested in the wheels and tires anyway. It has drum brake knuckles from a '73 A body and custom machined hubs to hold the Viper rotors. That setup will fit on any A body car if the appropriate upper ball joint is used.

For truckers only, Sorry car owners, 10" by 15" steel rims with Indy centers welded at 4 3/4" backset, 295 50 radial tires. Due to reworking my rear wheel tubs I have room for 14"by15" rims but for now I'm rotating a set of five wheels painted with yellow Imron. P. S. having seen Bret's car in person I was Impressed with the fit of the chosen wheel/tire combo with those new disk brakes. I would Think pearl white or metalic silver and get over it. Bruce J.

I just wish I had 14"s on my car, nice black stock steelies with chrome lugnuts. On my '62 Valiant the rear wheel openings are really tall and need to be filled with a taller wheel/tire.

On my 60 valiant ,Im running 16x8 firebird wheels by using billet adapters from Stocton wheelworks and they fit well and look good.

Hey Slanted attitude,

How about some pics of your Valiant? Sounds like a cool wheel setup.

Nice Rims all!

I've been looking for some Torq Thrusts I's too I figured to use the 16 x 8's on my 340 car but I'm not sure how the Dart's rear wheel house is going to like the 5" backspace I may have to get a spacer to get it to around 4.5 BS will see when I finally save up enough dough to buy em. don't go too big on the rims I find alot of newer style rims with lots of airspace and tiny spokes look insubstantial on an older car.

Most important get some rims YOU like cause that's the only guy that has to like em.

:!: True, but it's also nice to look cool when you make the scene in your cherry Mopar with some bitchen' wheels.......

Middy,

You should definitely make measurements, but I would bet that 5" backspace will be about perfect with stock drums and big bolt pattern - might even want 5.25"...

I have always liked the chrome "reversed" rim with some factory stainless steel "dog dish" hub caps. :D

I am using stock OEM steel rims, 15x5.5" on the front, 15x7" on the rear, painted semi-gloss black with dog dishes. Looks great with rustloem red primer.

Stock baby! Big bolt pattern. (with 12" discs hidden behind)

Ive always liked the Torq Thrusts though. Im considering either 17x8 or 16x8 of the Torq Thrust IIs, they are the all chrome new design. Would 17x8s fit on my Scamp?
