Hi Slant 6 Racers, Updates: Motormile has cancelled the test'n'tune tonight due to rain. Saturday and Sunday remain as scheduled for now. The forecast is improving for Sat and Sun afternoons. I am in touch with the folks I know are coming and will give phone updates (and here) for what happens tomorrow. Right now we have the following folks set to come tomorrow (weather permitting): Rick Covalt Ryan Covalt Ron Hamby Norman Foster Jack Everhardt Jr. Jack E. III Lou Madsen Should be some fast times if we get the races in, as it is forecast to be in the 60s all weekend. Rick hopes to debut his new fast motor with the Webers. Ryan is looking to set 1/8th mile records with the blue racecar. Norman is looking to set B/Nitrous with his Dart. Jack Jr. is also going for the B/N record. I rejetted my Project V carb and have part of the nitrous system on there (for B/N record setting too). Not sure I can get that all working, but we'll see! All the best! Lou |

Track called me and cancelled the event for the whole weekend. I called everyone I knew was on the way to tell them. The Two Jacks are coming to the house soon to hang out, so that'll be fun. We successfully made up the 2nd Motormile race at Knoxville this weekend (Aug 16-17). Jack Everhardt Jr. was the winner and Lukus Bruner was runner up. Glad I could give away all the plaques! We are now caught up with rainout makeups. Lou |
