Nice job.

I did a quickie trunk trim out with Masonite and black vinyl glued on, and that gray carpet the sound system guys use to cover speaker boxes several years back; not particularly happy with the results as time rolls on. My spare is too fat to allow a nice flat floor, so I'm going to hunt up a Taurus X spare as my new tires are 26.1" tall. Thanks for the ideas for more nicely done project which I probably will mimic this winter.

I put some hard Styrofoam under the trunk mat so the floor level would be the same as the spare tire level with the board on top...……….

Check it out, my dream is a reality...LED light strips under the lip where the trunk seal goes....

Just the one strip between the hinges would be plenty of light, but I put the side one's on specifically to light up the battery and tool box when I have the side panels off, seems like pretty good light gets in those spaces.

With three strips it looks like the Ark of the Covenant scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I like it. The LED's are nice and bright for my tired old eyes....and my face didn't melt off 'cause they run cool.
