Don't drag racers use front end stagger to their advantage?
It gives more rollout which will make the et quicker a little. Lots of class racers do it.

I confess I used my fishing ruler on one side.

It's a Dart with an 8 3/4 rear suspended from aftermarket stock ride height six lief springs made by Springs n Things if that makes any difference.

After my last post I tried to drop and plot on garage floor using a plumb bob the points A, B, C, D, etc. that FSM lists as diagonals. It proved to be difficult to dangle bob, mark floor, and keep on center of known point at frame. FSM is not real clear just which points to plumb off of. The project turned into a bust. I was not able to accomplish an accurate projection to floor of factory measurement points while laying on floor and with car on its wheels. For this old fat feather less biped it's look'in like a two person project.

I used a some magnets on strings with plumb-bobs on the end with fair results, but I was nowhere near 1 1/8" out

You probably are going to have to find a good frame shop to really know what is going on. They can tell you in quick order what is going on.
