Short exhaust branches will negate the effectiveness of individual sensors. Dutra duals are short. |

When developing EFI I'd like to know oxygen content for each cylinder. Another data point I'd like to know is the water temperature of each cylinder - if that data can be collected. If the cylinders aren't cooling equally temperature differences will effect results. I don't know whether temp variances can be resolved on the slant six - if that is actually the case. Some inline sixes tend to operate warmer on the rear cylinders. That's true with the Cummins B series, many BMW inline sixes can run hotter in the rear when the cooling system is low on coolant, not a problem normally - when the head gasket fails due to low coolant level its usually toward the rear |

folks do monitor each cylinder's exhaust temperature as a tuning and engine performance aid.
