Dutra duel's rear casting retains factory exhaust manifold heat to carburetor intake manifold and choke stove. It's a combination of factory exhaust manifold with the front three ports cut off, and the front three dumped into a stand alone three port casting. A heated intake greatly improves drivability. Headers and non heated intake manifold tend not to perform well below 70 degrees. Humid weather below 50 degrees with non heated intake can caused carburetor icing, bad drivability, and real bad fuel economy. |

Thank you for your response. I live in Los Angeles and it’s warm 80% of the year. This is my second car not daily. I was leaning toward the headers. I’m looking for good sound and overall a improvement in engine performance. I definitely want to keep a budget in mind but if it’s $100+/- that’s not a problem. Best, Andrew |

Drum brakes a just serviced front and back. Drivers side rear needed full rebuild. Need new shocks all around (a lil bouncy) |

Took my valve cover off and found a lot of mucky oil sticking to springs/rocker arm assembly/etc. adjusted valves and wiped off as much as possible. Any way to clean the assembly/etc while still on the block and in the car? |
