Got the pump out, and got my answer to how bad it is. Looks like it's confined to the pump gear.

Remember that "snap" you heard..!? That was it .. Good thing you pulled it apart. New drive gear and you are in business! Greg |

Yep, I'm relieved it wasn't anything more. I might throw a Trans-Go kit in there while I'm working on the transmission. |

Check the neck on the converter really close. Mine had a really hard to see hairline crack coming out of one of the cutouts. |
