couldn't see the pix... you're welcome to drop me an e-mail and send me those links. jicaino@arnet.com.ar If you have the "triggered" 833 then you're lucky. It's the same as american transmissions (OK, is not exactly the same but is way more better than the old barreiros box... those worked great for some years then cra***d out and reposition parts, as I said, are long gone) The good news is that you can use american parts on your transmission. Here's my car, it's a variation on a dart's floor and wheelbase. Is like the spanish 3700 GT. here it goes the pix

Hey Ducht Dart This car was developed in '67 in argentina, using the dart '67 wheelbase and most of the structural components but kinda playing with some b-body styling. Of course, as you saw, dash matches a very A-body rallye look. Then Chrysler-Fevre (argentina division) sold the model to barreiros (who started to produce the 3700 series 1 in 1971 I think, slant 6, three on the tree transmission and some different treatment on front and tail ends) Our local Chrysler-Fevre company produced this car to 1979 with minor changes (mine is from 1977) and they even developed a 2 door hardtop coupe called GTX wich looks pretty much like the '68 american roadrunner. They used the same body and named it diffrent upon the stock equipment (weird concept huh?) this very car without vinyl and 904 and power steering, electronic ignition and A/C would be called Polara. With all the "nice" equipment and manual 4 speed 833 tr (as your car has) would be called GT, and the same goes for the 2 doors. Top line was called GTX, "base" model was called Polara coupé, sport 6 cyl version was called Polara RT. As far as email is concerned, I ain't got nothing, let suppose that server went down at that moment, but if you keep on getting farts from my server try using this adress: jic@jicaino.com.ar I'm pretty much conviced to blame it on the syncros. Good luck! |
