i've got a new ignition switch on order and am redoing the manifold alignment in a.m. i am truely grateful for all the help offered. this sight rocks. i;ll let you know how it all shakes out. i registered to be a member, but pw probs don't let me log in hopefully, soon, i'll lose the guest and be me.

well, it finally runs. problem was carburetor fast idle screw gone. replaced it and rebuilt holly 1920. am now fine tuning carb. thanks for all the help!

I had this problem once with my 73 valient. Turned out to be A loose connection between coil wire and distributor cap
