I sent the car off to another body shop this week. This guy is more expensive but he's a real guy and said hed be done by Feb. He said he's gotta get it out of his shop, he has too many people in line. I just ordered the 13" rotor/Viper Caliper brake setup from AREngineering and the tubular UCA's and strut rods from Bill Riley at BigBlockDart. I'm going to get the reenforced LCA's and 1 1/8" Sway Bar from FFI. Already have a 20:1 steering gear. Need to find pre 2003 Viper Calipers and 17x8 mustang "Bullitt" wheels. I'm gonna run 245 45 17's.
This is gonna be fun.

All you east coast slanters... Here I come. My car is still in pieces. I may have to throw it in a uhaul. Whatever, I'll get it there. Looks like there will be some good events and racing later in the summer. Can't wait.

After 3 years in the body shop. (Very Long Story) there's fianlly paint on my car. Maybe I'll be back among the living soon. I also have a 1965 Barracuda Slant 6 I'm starting on. Chack in and say hello.

Mike, Let this be a lesson:

Always get the body done first - Even if it takes three years - then at least youre not wainting to get the car back.

I was reading the eariler post on this thread, And It seems that you might want to try running a bit lower Pressures on the tires.

The 3.09 Low gear is Really a bear on the Line - Produces Great 60' Times - but you have to dial the pressure down so low that it hurts you beyond the 330' mark.

I used to run 15 PSI - Now I have a 2.66 Low Gear and I run 17.5..

I am going to try 18 PSI on my next test and tune session.

I very rarely ever Spin the tires any more - Espically when they spay the VHT nice and heavy.

Best of luck - When you move to NC I will have to catch up with you and We have to run a Slant 6 4 Speed match Race!!

Greg
