I stripped the bumpers and trim off of the Cuda to start prepping the body for paint.

I've never really done paint and body work so this is a brand new adventure for me. The 'Cuda however, is no stranger to the paint booth. It's got 9 layers of paint and primer on it. Not to mention plenty of body filler.

After much body filler, sanding, blocking, primer, more blocking, more primer, more blocking, etc., etc., etc. I finally sprayed the base coat.

It looks a lot better in the photo than it does in person. Still... it will be fine when it's all done. Paint has a big learning curve and I'm still on the steep part of the slope

That was Josh's 66 Cuda. What failed on my project was my will and my checkbook and previous bad repairs hidden by bondo. But thats a topic for a different thread. YOUR Cuda is coming along nicely! |
