Not trying to steal a thread but Im working on a cd009 swap to my 350chevy and have found some similar design challenges I wonder if you've figured out yet. I used the stock flywheel and drilled and tapped it to accept the cd009 clutchplate. Once assembled i dont have enough clutch engagment on the transmission input shaft. I saw you were working on a flywheel and wondered is this a custom piece or were you able to modify an existing flywheel to get sufficient clutch engagement?

Does anyone know the dimensions from the engine face to stock clutch location for the cd009(working on spacer vs adding friction plate like casedawg did)

The general consensus, which I support, was a custom flywheel with tapered offset hub section. Read the thread, if the pics are still accessible, Casey fabbed an Al-U-minimum one & the adapter plate. Welcome to the Slanted side of life in Moparland! What level of motivation have You got goin' on? Not sure if the data You're seeking is in the thread, that may all be with Casey, who has appeared very infrequently last couple of years.

The youtube channel A21Bravo did a ls swap into a 350z a few years ago. They used the stock 6 speed with some sort of adapter plate. You may try there for additional information.

Well, hope Casedawg is doing OK, but I'm going to officially put a fork in the hopes of getting the adapter plate & flywheel for this swap. Will have to proceed solo it appears.

I'm still alive. The last three years have earned me a masters in business enrolled in the school of hard knocks. I've been through business partners turning on me, investors threatening lawsuits due to my partners mismanagement of the relationship, a business relationships in another company going south, health issues, money issues, etc. If it can happen in business, I've probably experienced it in the past three years.

All that said, I haven't had the time, money or mental energy to finish the project... until recently! Business has finally turned around and I am back to having a fully staffed shop so I can work on other things here and there. I have changed my mentality on the car from a magazine build to a hotrod, race car, just get it driving vibe. I'm not so worried about the way it looks or doing it the exact right way as much as just wanting to finally drive the bloody thing. I can restore it later when I'm old.

I start providing updates as I can this summer. Transmission is in, 8.8 is in. Working on brakes, master cylinder.
