I will ask about two races Saturday, but given recent events and the way they have run things the last several years… I wouldn’t count on it.

I’ll keep looking at my weather app as you probably all will.

I won’t be bringing the RV, but will have a 28 foot enclosed trailer and a couple canopies…

Assuming we will only get one race in….

IF it takes some of the sting out and IF Rick wants to coordinate a one day event as a make up race… I’ll tow up to Mason Dixon…

One caveat here is the rain. Ryan just told me he checked and it says 80% chance of rain. I'll look tomorrow and see as we get closer. Thanks Rob for all your work.

I will be coming for sure (unless the weather says 100% rain for the whole day and night). I got to hear Rob's Chal run yesterday and want to see it run BADLY and help out if I can. Hard to see it wouldn't run in the 6s and 10s in the 1/4. One of the best sounding Slants I've ever heard.

I also can reallly use a cruise/race trip to help clear my head. Dad died on Saturday and it has been a tough journey for him, my mom and for us...

See some/all of you in a few days!
Lou

How is the Knoxville track Management? could an extra race scheduled there??

I would concur with Rob that it probably will not happen this weekend with 2 eliminations for the Slant 6 class.

Does anyone planning to attend have any MSD RPM chips they would be willing to let me borrow at Clay City?

If Dennis doesn’t make it, I want to have a back up plan.

I want to raise my launch RPM from 3700 to something closer to 4500.

Rob, Ryan probably does. I can ask him tomorrow, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting you borrow them.

I'm doing everything I can to get there. I want to see it with the 8000 chip in it.

The weather app on my phone shows up to a 30% chance of rain for a couple hours mid afternoon (2-4) on Saturday. I’m sure you guys have more detailed and accurate weather trackers.

I plan to be at the track fairly early Saturday morning.

Gate opens at 6pm Friday night.

10 am Saturday.
Just Checking on gate times again, as this may affect when I travel / Hike etc.
Dennis says Gate for Saturday is 10 Am which is fine, but the flyer
says 2PM. Those few hours might affect my plans quite a bit.

Rob, can you confirm the gate time? I know the track folks maybe are bit more difficult to pin down on details as compared to the Old days (1999-2018) I am not sure if the gates are earlier with the car show and swap meet happening at the same time?

Thank you,

Greg

I have the chips for Rob! Who's bringing the dip?

Yes, gate time will be good, since I'll be driving early Sat from home.

Lou

If gate times are later in the day, and racing does not start until 4PM, and you want to meet up for a Sat. trip to Natural Bridge we can drop a car and then go up there for a pre-lunch/ midday hike.

I am likley going to drive a bit overnight, as I am now going to school on Friday.

Sorry to say, but the weather I am seeing is not nearly as positive looking as you guys are seeing. I just talked to Ryan and we are out. Sorry guys it is just too far for us. It looks good Friday night! Lou don't bring the head until Knoxville.
