Nope, I called the guy on the phone who shot the video and he says the car runs Super Street (an NHRA 10.90 bracket class) and was running 7.00s at that 1/8-mile track. Good guess, Slantzilla...

Bill in Conway, Arkansas

Yep, Zilla is pretty sharp. Wait..... he is sharp......but not pretty. :wink:

7.0's on muscle is some serious steam for 240 cubes my friends.

Wayne, obviously they don't have mirrors in Indiana. :roll:

Now if someone could just get Howard to show up at a Slant 6 race... :roll:

Am I missing something here...? :?

Post subject:  Time slip from Howard

I guess Howard is hoping he had made it to Clay City last weekend...

He just sent me a picture of a time slip...

I can't vouch for whether or not it is for their Dart Sport with the aluminum head Slant 6 or just some random time slip, but.... Here is what he sent:

60' = 1.459
330' = 4.388
1/8th = 6.890
MPH = 97.10

If only that run had been right next to Rusty Heisten at Clay City last weekend when he ran that 6.881 @ 97.42!!

THAT would have been a race!! :shock: :D

Yep, what the Mater says is true! A 6.90 is a 10.75 1/4. My brain only works on the 1/4 mile -I used an conversion table.

Mater, me and you both tried ta git Howard to roll south. Need ta apply more pressure - this would be quite the event!

Talk to ya soon Mater Boy!

Doesn't Howard run at any 1/4 mile tracks in his area?

Team Green ran 6.88 at Clay City and went 11.0 in the quarter.

Conversion tables are not always accurate on Slant cars because they don't pull the back half very well, especially with big gears in the butt.

Then his wife would have been stuck with the Valiant up on blocks in the front yard forever. That is not fair to her! :lol: :lol:

Rick, in all fairness to Wayne, the red car is not at his house. She already made him hide it elsewhere. :lol:

The Demon is in the front yard, but still has the wheels on it.
