Quote: Dang, thats too bad about the turbo but looks like it should be ready to rock once you remedy the turbo situation.

I'm running a precision ball bearing 62/62 63ar housings. I just turned it up to 19psi a week or two ago. Feels like a monster compared to when it was 14 psi I trapped 110 on 14 psi. I'm putting the new clutch in next week then working out some traction bugs then see what times I can put down soon. Kev |

that sounds like fun. if i could have got my car moving off the line i should have put down right around 110mph. couldnt get it moving though. just spinning. 19psi is what close to 350-375hp? what are you going to do for traction? |

Not sure what power I'm putting down on 14psi I was beating my buddies new 5.0 by a couple lengths he has a couple small things done and put down 380 to the tires when he was dynoed a couple months ago. I'm pretty sure ill run away from on 19psi now it pulls a lot harder but we shall see. Ya I'm not sure what your car would trap on a good run I know mine always traps about the same even if my 60 foot is a bad run as long as I make a clean pass and don't miss gears. Kev |

I think I'm taking the cal trac route and getting my shocks dialed in I should have more than enough tire. Kev |

have you tried anything for traction yet? i was thinking drag radials and slapper bars or cal tracs. if that hooks ill look into a pinion snubber. |

I have adjustable shocks all the way around and 275 Mickey Thompson drag radials. The shocks got the sixt foots down to like 1.92 on my best. But that was before the 2 step was hooked up now it will just kill the tires off the line if I launch on 5 or 10 psi. Regardless if I slip the clutch gently Kev |

holy crap. spinning those huge drag radials? what air pressure are you running? do you do a decent burnout? does the suspension react at all or does it just spin them? |

I installed a line lock to help the burnout so that was good even when I had the shocks loose it brings the front end up a lot. I tried 20 psi 18,16,15,14 lol not much luck lol without 2 step would do low 1.9s sixty foots then 2 step kill tires half through first gearish Kev |

might need some kind of progressive boost controller. ive been thinking about it. lol you arent giving me much hope of getting the power down. my car isnt a dd. i might try jacking the torsion bars up a bunch maybe all the way or most of the way. it lifts the front end as is but im sure some more weight on the rear from the start might help. wish i kept my old leaf springs. was trying to find some weight to throw in the trunk when i was at the track. might put some sand bags or cinderblocks in there. lol. there has to be a way to get it to hook. |

Your car is automatic right? You'll be fine put some sticky tires on it and it will launch nicely specially with some cheap stock shocks or some adjustable stuff! I may have been hitting the tires to hard so I'm pretty sure if I slow the front end coming up down it will hook plus I have new Mickey now my old ones were worn out once I started running it above 8 psi. I'm also gonna trim the bump stops to give me another inch or so of front end lift before the suspensions tops out. Kev |

im still running the three on the tree until it blows. i blow the tires off of it coming off the line. then after i get it moving in first they spin again, then again when it spools in second. it seems to hold in 3rd for now. at least until i turn it up again. i have cheap shocks in the rear. the red ones i think they are gabriel or something like that. might have to throw some 90/10's in the front. |

Oh ya that might make traction a bit tougher a good set of tires will make a world of difference though because I used to spin 255 bf Goodrich street tires in every gear except 5th lol. These drag radials are awesome they work awesome once I'm moving and stuff it will spin slightly if I power shift second gear on the street not sure about the track though. Kev |
