Yes the body is very straight. Couldn't be more pleased, and I learned a lot from helping with it. It is almost too nice to drive. But I have every intention of getting over that real soon!!

Rick

This gives you an idea of how straight.

Post subject:  Insurance

Now that the car looks pretty decent, you begin to worry about what ifs. What if my garage burns down? Or what if I total it....ect. So I went to my insurance agent and checked into what it would cost. I went with Hagerty and was amazed that I got $10,000 agreed value insurance for $211/yr. Agreed value means if it gets totaled you get $10,000. No appraisal was needed, and the deductibles are $0. I was totally shocked. Just sent them some pictures and wait for their final approval and it is ready for the road. And just for your info, $15000 was only $271/yr. You have to have 2 other primary vehicles. And the mileage limit is 5000/yr.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage thing, both of my dads cars and my moms car is insured by hagerty no one ever asks any questions about the mileage they probably drive the roadrunner and gto more than 5000miles a year.

Post subject:  Hard to believe

I know this is hard to believe, but I got a call from my agent today and they told me that my car is modified slightly but not what Hagerty considers "modified". So my $10000 coverage is $149/ year. That is hard for me to believe!.

I insure 3 of my "old cars" with JC Taylor for a wopping $129.00 per year.
Yes... $129.00 for all 3 cars, the Lancer "racecar", the Dacuda and my 65 Dart convert.
All are 'stated value' and 'limited use'... I never get close to the milage limit on any of them.

Post subject:  Opinions

I want your honest opinion on these emblems. I think I like them. I have a little more work to do on them where I removed half of the "V". Don't even ask what they are off of! You may get sick! :D They go where the original V100 emblems go. I never really cared for them and had these in my tool box waiting for this day for 25+ years. It is hard to get good pictures with such shiny paint!!

Also a pic with the splash pan and grille in. i got a lot of the wiring done also. I should be able to fire it up this fall for sure. Just have some "home" projects to get done first.

Naw, age would be more like it.

I workd in the local gas station back then. We had many customers who had Citations, including the "High Output" X-11.

Funny, I can not remember the last time I saw one of those pieces of crap still on the road.

Post subject:  Trim clips

Thanks to a member on here I got the gasket I needed and the tail lights are in.

Now I am in need of some trim clips. I have chrome trim that goes along the top edge of the door along the windo. This trim has little clips that look similar to the clips that hold on the door panels only made to fit into the chrome. I need 5 of them if anyone has any. I do not need the chrome itself. 65 Valiant of course.
