Does anyone know what rocker arm in the industry shares the length and bore size with the slant 6 ?

I was going to call Jessel or T and D , and I don't mind making all new stands, shafts etc to get what I need.

Is it wise to order the 270 with the double spring, retainer and lifter set?

If they are true double springs they are almost certainly overkill. A single spring with a damper is fine, but probably still a little overkill. You can get away with new stock springs and stock retainers on many 225 builds because most 225s just don't spin that fast.

Are you sure the Erson 270 is the right cam? If you tell us about your engine build we'd be happy to help.

I bet the 270 will work great with good stock springs.

I second that, i run my 280/270 with stock springs and things are fine up to 6200 rpm for racing purposes....

Thanks, guys! -I thought double valve springs sounded like overkill. my build will be a mild one. I have a supersix intake, new holley 2280 and will go with dual header exhaust (powerpipe dc). Rebuild motor, mill the head a bit to bump up compression, the usual... I have an electronic ignition installed, plus all the good aussie gaskets waiting, and an offy valve cover ;)

Now, if I just put the supersix, headers, exhaust and 270 cam in it for now, will that bump the power much? I'm guessing 20-30 hp.

Yes, still going. I ordered on January 30th 2011, just received my RV10 cam ground from an E470000 core today (Feb 10th).

This deal has been going for quite a few years now and I was happy that the folks at Erson (spoke with John Hartman) were quite familiar with the custom grinds developed with Doug Dutra. Cam card is amazingly close to Doug's initial spec.

i'll install it tomorrow and spend a little time degreeing it in. Hopefully, all of the numbers will agree with the card.

Thanks Doug for the grind recipe and thank you NewLancerMan for starting the group buy.
