I have never seen one of those wires fused on these cars. Sam Powell probably has 3 fuses/breakers on every wire in his car, though... :P

Great progress! 3-4 mo til test'n'tune, then M-D shortly after, eh???

Any Covalts looking at attending the banquet?? We'll be there...

Lou thanks for the reply on the wire.

I would like to come to the banquet, and I think Ryan and Whitney wanted to also. I will have to wait until the 1st of the year to let you know for sure!

My real goal is to have my Valiant race ready as I can, by the end of February. Not that it will be completed to put on the street, but able to go down the track! I'd like to here motor noise in the next 30 days!

Once the car is "race ready", I would like to get the headers we swapped, on my truck. Then It would be ready to make some noise also. But unlike some of my "sons", I only want to tear up 1 thing at a time!

First the Valiant, then the Truck.

Sorry Rick.

We do seem to ooze over into other areas quite a bit.

I can move or delete them starting with Wayne's mention of bringin' cookies if you want me to. Just say the word.

So, ARE you planning to attend the banquet/reunion?

I'll be there!

I picked up the new mirror at Advance Auto for $11. It is not a twin post original but I like it. I liked in front of the wing so that is where I put it. I mounted the new mini starter, and ran the cable to it. Got the little fuse box on the battery which will power my Electric fan and probably a Electric fuel pump some day.

I like using things I have. And with all of my kids junk cars that are going to the scrap yard, I just scavenge things that I think I can use for free. I'm not big on the side terminal battery but it came out of Denny's 86 Buick century for free. The factory V-6 Battery cablels fit like a glove and are used as is. My trunk struts were off the same car. And the fuse block on the battery was off Micah's 92 Mitsubishi. There were 2 other fuse block on it that I scarfed also,as well as a small alternator, brackets ...etc. All this stuff is free. Oh yeah I forgot the Mitsubishi radiator may drop in my Valinat as well. I'll let you know! Thanks for looking.

Pretty cool. 8)

I need to get one of those mini starters for the Duster.

I notice your shifter cable is curved quite a bit further back than mine. That will make it easier to keep it away from the heat of the headers.
