You can lower your static by giving it a 250 shot.......... |

ULSD for race fuel?
I think I missed something somewhere. |

Hey, how has everyone been? I been away for awhile unfortunately. I'm working on another Slant. My auto shop students to be exact. What are the biggest valves that have been put in a slant head. I did a bit of searching but haven't found much. I have the 1.70 - 1.44 in my current motor. If i remember, I thought someone was putting in a 1.88 Intake? Thanks Ryan |

Hi Ryan! Nice to see you out and about. Tilley had a head where he moved the intake valve toward the center and had a 1.88" int and 1.40 or so exhaust. Flow was something around 230 on int, according to his guys bench. I have a head with 1.84 and 1.54 from some dude back in CA in the mid 90s. Never have run it. Valves are CLOSE - 0.025-0.030" in between. Needs a minimum 0.100" over motor, likely with a bore notch. Need to drag that out and do some porting. They put these huge valves in and never bowl ported... Also, it is only 45 ccs, so that somewhat limits which shortblocks I can bolt it on. Mike J has built me and several others heads with 1.76/1.50. Those work very well. Hope all is well, Lou |

Dave Evans head on his 4:71 blower motor used 1.88 intakes and 1.50 exhausts. That head flowed 217cfm on the intake. He also bored to 3 9/16" which proved to be the downfall of that engine. Sure was pretty though. |

Thanks guys. I also found the 7mm valve discussion and a few others. Looks like I have some decisions to make |

Hey guys, I'm not on here much because it isn't mobile friendly. You can friend me on Facebook or find me on Instagram - turbo66valiant for updates on the Valiant and Dart if you like. I'll try and get some posted here as well but... Going racing this year and I did get it back on the street. Same power if not a bit more. Later Guys. Ryan |
