Sure ya can. If you use Nylon rope, which does not shed fibres, there are no fibres left in the cylinder. If you use cotton or hemp or jute rope, which can shed fibres, there might be small fibres that will burn to light ash and be blown out the exhaust the very first time that cylinder fires. Either way, you are getting scared over nothing.I agree with Dan. Use rope and be done with it. |

You did not break it in with Mobil 1 did you. This not a break in oil. I alway break in my engines with 30 weight non detergent oil. Racers here swear by that and that is what i use. I use Mobil One in all my cars. I like the rope method over the compressed air. If you loose air preasure the vavle drops down then the head has to come off. Im pretty sure that this would be an inappropriate use for hemp rope. Hemp rope would be more useful after the valve has dropped into the cylinder..... |
