We were just wondering if they take Plastic at the Redding track, or if it's a cash deal.

Hi CJ..No problem...We pretty much can run our own show at Redding and the track people are very supportive of our group and want us to grow in numbers and interest. There is a new track manager...actually he was the president of the board who is taking over the track as a individual. The previous management was all volunteer workers and the track attendance, ect was declining. With Bob Lidell, it will be his baby and he is putting his $$ into many improvements that will make it much better for all the racers and the public as well. He will spend lots of $$ over the winter so please all try to make this last race at Redding on August 25-26..Even if you can't bring a car to race..just show up and support our efforts. Thanks Andy, CJ , Andrew and all the others that continue to support slant6 racing here on the West Coast.. |

Andy, yes- our Valiant got hit.....by a county employee who was grabbing at his cell phone. So, we will be racing it dented.....but racing still!! Wayne has been great to me selling parts off his spare 63 Valiant......we chopped the rear tail light panal off it 2 weekends ago.So we now have all the parts, and are waiting on the county. I tried to let all know that the track on Saturday will not be open until noon. Then on Sunday at 9:00 am. If you are coming on Friday, the track will be open at 6:00pm. David Erickson , Tristan with troops and CJ/Fopar, Glen Terry and others will set up "camp". The track manager is Bob Lidell and his personal phone number (530) 241-8185 if needed. See you all soon...We hope to again have a full 17+ field so we can run a five round race...Even if you don't have a slant6 car to run..please show up and support our slant6 efforts..See you all in REdding this weekend. |
