See I've been curious about this for awhile, since I have that 106" wheelbase, should I order 108 or 111? since I'm going to probably have to cut them to fit anyway...
Or just make my own, which are guaranteed not to fit right

The 1965 Dart is on a 111" wheelbase, yes (except the station wagon model, which is on 106") |

I have not been under a pre ‘67, or post ’67 A Body for a comprehensive look-see to be able to pass judgment as to how these bars would fit another year build different from my 1967. 108†wheel base is for the later Duster stile two door cars. Give’em a call; the folks at Mancini are always helpful. I suspect these bars will fit your 1965. Have a cut-off wheel grinder handy when you decide to start the project, and be prepared for a bit of trial fitting. Also I needed to use four longer bolts than what was included with the kit. |

fire up the miller welder, and make your own! they are not that hard! When you come down here in a few weeks, you can see mine. And if I can do it with my fab skills, anybody can. G |

You've got a 106.5" wheelbase. The '63-'66 Valiants (+'63-'66 Dart wagons) had a 106" wheelbase.

On my rustbucket ragtop, I used some free 2X2" tubes 3/16" thick: weighed a ton! Then we welded on perches and installed a Jegs 4 point roll bar. It gave me a place to attach shoulder belts, and the car feels like a brick house. On the fastback, which is actually in nice condition, we used the US Cartool ones. They look a lot nicer, almost like they came with the car. Also improved the ride immensely. The main difference is that the suspension, which was always super tight and harsh, softened up, almost like the suspension is doing more work. |
