Sandy and Joshie you are correct, 5.7 heads. Terry You're right about the early hemi valve cover. And thanks for all the compliments guys. |

Oh, wow. I wanted to fit one 5.7 hemi head to a 4 banger to better motivate my little '96 Dakota, but the big bore spacing kept me from doing more than think about it. I believe the Jeep 2.5 in my Dakota has a wider bore spacing than the slant, but I'm not certain. Dare I ask how many hours it took to build this? What the head weighs compared to the stocker? Is the intake manifold welded to the head? I'm wanting to radically improve the power of my '67 Valiant and this would do it without completely tossing aside the slant. I just don't think I have the time to build such a beast. My friend with the mill and lathe lives too far away. I used to go to his place daily, but now I live 50 miles away and have a real job and a family. |

*thundrous applause* Amazing work. Still don't understand how you made the large 5.7 combustion chamber work with the small 225 bore though! So...how long before you're taking orders? |

The 5.7 has a bore of 3.917" and bore spacing of 4.46"............. How did you make it fit ???????? (slant is 3.4" and 3.98/4.00") |

Wow, this is way more than just pieces of 5.7 heads put end to end. You have moved the intake side valve cover rail and put the rocker shaft on the other side of the valve, and I guess you had to extend the intake port. Those look like 426 Hemi exhaust rockers. I can see how you get the bigger bore working on the slant, after all the valves move towards the center of the cylinder when they open so they will open up in a smaller bore. How are your pushrod angles? And does it have good water flow around the chamber the way to use to? So how are those shafts bolted down? More pics please. Wow, if you can work this out and then get a set of pistons to suit the head this could get interesting. Jess |

Ok, Times up! Spill all the details. We are dying to hear the details of how you made this work. And may I suggest you type up a little article and send it along with some pictures to Seymour. This definitely belongs in an article in the SSRN. Great work!! Rick |
