I'm very strongly considering a 2BBL intake, but not until I hear of some other peoples' experiences with 'em.

Joshie and Jopapa thanks for your replies. I have been e-mailing Pentastar on and off since Jan. inquiring about their new products. They have been very prompt in responding. After Shaker223 called and was told 4bbl intakes were available the last week of May, I thought I better go ahead and order especially with a small first production run.

Since then I have e-mailed several times and have been told next week and expecting delivery in 7 days (June 3rd).

My credit card has been charged (about a month ago) for both the intake and the shipping. The last e-mail talked of not recieving the first consignment of intakes (delay from foundry).

Well..... got a bit hot and fired off a not so nice ( one explicative) e-mail about the delays and the credit card being charged (shipping ? what's up with this?).

Ray Webb (Jnr) responded right away and was very professional. I finally got some detailed information. He has called the foundry twice and he tells me that he will have an accurate assessment of lead time on Tues. He promised to fast track my order (not waiting for the whole batch to be cast) by having the foundry ship what they have so he can to the machine work and dispatch my order.

Ray did apologise for the delays and told me it is common -place in Oz to charge for the order to obtain committment. (shipping?) He did say he could refund my money untill they can ship. He also said he will be contacting me tomorrow with more answers.

In his defense, I did place a pre-production order - it's not like these castings are all in a row on a shelf. I guess I'm also not used to ordering specialty items (last aftermarket intake I bought was for a sbc  ). I am taking a bit of a risk here - new intake design, ordering overseas, blah, blah, blah, - but I am still hopefull everything will work out and look forward to hearing to Ray tomorrow. Will keep everyone posted.

I am interested in one of the M90 blower intakes if they have MP EFI bungs. You might communicate that we have interest on those as well. I have $$ in hand.

Glad that Ray is responding vigorously.

Lou

Lou, I will pass on everyone's interests when Ray e-mails this evening. Thanks, Wayne.

Slantsix.org readers,

For those interested in the PP&R/AussieSpeed longrunner intake manifolds, I would like to express my sincere apologies for the lengthy delays in relation to the final production of these intakes. The good news is that all final fitting testing is complete which did take longer than expected and the first production run is currently being cast. The delays were both unfortuntate and unexpected. We are working to complete the intake as quickly as possible without compromising quality and look forward to your feedback once you take delivery of our new offering.

I will make announcements once we have everything completed. Thank you for your patience.

Ray (Jr)

Joshie225 : I do not recall your correspondence and cannot find any record of it in my email browser. We did however have an email server issue a few weeks ago, but I was pretty sure that recovered the data... it may have slipped thru the cracks. Please feel free to send your enquiry again and I will give it my full attention.

Thanks for the update, Ray. We understand that delays happen in ambitious projects like these.

Looking forward to the release!

Lou

My four barrel intake from PP & R and Aussie Speed arrived today. It looks great and is a quality casting. As soon as it arrived, I took it over to a friend (Rick Allison, owner of A&A Transmission - website: www.aandatrans.com). Sorry, no link - I'm too tired. This guy produces Hemi Cross-Rams in aluminum and magnesium -the same for 440s. Many of his products are officially licensed thru Chrysler. He knows his stuff, and he said this is a good product. More on this guy later.
Details: Runner length is roughly ten inches average. Nitrous bosses look good. Open plenum. Overall length, edge to edge, is 15 1/2 inches. No provision for heat. This will come later according to manufacturers. My only concern is there is a 3/8 fall from back (think firewall) to front (think grill) in a 6 1/2 inch space. Obviously, the intake was cast for drag racing with that kind of angle from primaries to secondaries (killer kick ass acceleration). I will be bolting this on a street driven car. I'm wondering if this will play hell with the floats? I'm also looking to see if I can divide the plenum for better throttle response. I'm also wondering about turning the carb 90 degrees primaries toward driver side?
I apologize - our digital camera took a dump awhile back and we have not replaced it. I will work on pics asap. I got a bit miffed at Rayman for the delays. After we had words, he came through with updates. Again, I feel this is a quality product and hopefully, we can count on PP&R and Aussie Speed to supply the Slant 6 community. I look forward to your questions.

Your engine doesn't sit level. The carb flange makes up for that. 8)

Yep... The machine shop always tells me how 'warped' slant six manifolds are because the runners look slanted from front to back in comparison to the carb flange...

Thanks guys, when I bought my engine it was already out of the car. The only place it's been bolted up is to the engine stand!

Great news. I wonder when the M90 blower version will be ready? That's the one I'm after.

Lou, I e-mailed Ray telling him that I got the manifold and that it looks great. I also told him to check in on the forum because some members were interested in his products. I especially mentioned the blower intake. Hope this helps. Thanks Wayne.

interested in the 4 Barrel intake.

Aside note, what is this Hemi 6? I am new to the 6 cylinder world (less than a year) and when I clicked on the link provided I looked around and saw a Hemi 6?

This is a Hemi 6. They are Hemi in name only.
