well i am sure TH0R would be doing some driving while MiDi napped in the back seat or while i was playing video games on my laptop, so prolly only sub sonic speeds. but last time i checked TH0R & i are both pretty flat broke so afording the gas alone for the trip would be a miracle. i am now scrounding to get 1/2 tank of gas to get to CJ's place on friday |

ok fellow slanters, i did the math and it looks like about 220 to 250 for gas because its an 860 mile round trip i am figuring this @ 18mpg @ 4.25 a gallon. maybe your math is better than mine. i know my super six dart can get in the mid twentys but that is @ 65 to 70mph and with no wind and flat highway, no city driving or stops. i have a 7 man tent and sleeping bags and out gear and we can raid my fridge and "rough it" the main expence is gas and race fees. i am up to my ass in bills so i might be able to get 20 or 40 bux twards the gas fund.being over educated and un-employed sucks. @ least the dart is pretty much rock solid and 100% ready for a long road trip. |

Slightly off topic, but.. I just have to say you guys are the best for offering to chip in to help. I don't know how many other car communities would make offers like that.. but I'd guess it can't be very many, if any at all. |

Ok, so here's the deal, I had originally planned a few months ago to be going on tour with Chris' (lowerclassyouth) band. Hence why at Redding I said I may or may not be @ Samoa. Plans had changed for a short time leading me to believe that going on tour with them was not a feasible option due to the date that we would be back in town, since I have a job coming up that I need to be available for. Last night, I went to the band meeting so that we could determine exactly what the plans were, and now it is so that I will be going on tour with them. So that means I will not be at Samoa. But thats ok, it just means I can save up some more $$$, and actually RACE @ Woodburn. So, all I can say is that I will catch up with you fine fine people again at another time. ~THOR~ |

well looks like TH0R is out, so i am gonna op out also. thank you very much for the offer of donations and for willing to help me race. if there is another woodburn or medford race i'll see you guys there. i am very honored and touched by the wonderfull offers from everyone. i am also amazed that you guys would wanna help out.it just goes to show that everyone on slantsix.org rocks, i rember my poorly running dart that couldn't even make it saftley over 45mph and now its supersixed and one HELL of a road machine. i have also made a ton of new friends and that almost means more to me than my car. thank you very much! neil parker - aka MiDi |

There sure is a race at Medford and a new points race at Woodburn! I'm looking forward to seeing you at the weekend BBQ, and in a few weeks up at DusterIdiot's SlantSix-O-Rama Super BBQ and Tech Talk! As always, any interested in going down from our area that don't have the fuel budgeted, you can ride with us! It's a great time! I'm going to tow the trailer down to Eureka. No sense having all the stuff in the trunk. I'll have the back seat open for anyone that wants to ride along. We'll get you to Medford one way or another MiDi! Champion is a hoot! Once you've been to the strip, we'll share our addiction! With the close knit group we've got, I don't care if I go out first round. I'm sticking around to cheer on my friends! It's just too bad Wicked/Six has such a sloooooooooow car. I think another wee match is in order! Whoever wins..... Complete this line TF! CJ PS: You ran over THOR with your MiDi truck! Gah! Put him back together in time for the BBQ! |
